An article in today’s issue of the Penn Almanac, announced a partnership between Posse Miami (Miami-Dade County Public Schools) and the University of Pennsylvania. Starting in September of 2010, students in the Posse Miami program will begin their first semester at Penn. Read more here: https://www.upenn.edu/almanac/volumes/v56/n02/posse.html The Posse Foundation was also highlighted in the Center’s first philanthropic investment guide in education, Pathways to Student Success: A Guide to Translating Good Intentions Into Meaningful Impact, released in December of 2008. Posse is featured in the chapter on Postsecondary Education, which focuses on their peer support model for meeting the needs of at-risk youth.
