“For too long, philanthropic discussions have focused on making donors feel good. The Center is about something radically different: focus on impact. It’s about being an honest broker of the information required to link financing to impact.”
"I want to make a difference. I have one million dollars to give. How can I spend it to make the greatest impact?"
The Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the University of Pennsylvania is an innovative new resource center established by Wharton alumni and housed at the School of Social Policy & Practice. Its aim is to meet the information needs of philanthropists seeking to maximize the social impact of their charitable gifts.
OUR VISION
The Center for High Impact Philanthropy (CHIP) seeks to define the efficient frontier of philanthropy, where nonprofit financing is linked to potential for impact.
